Some Notes on The Colors

Just some background info so there’s no confusion. 🙂
  • Clicking on the HEX value of each color will take you to a page where there’s all the color info you’d ever need or want about that specific color – including variants of that color.
  • Mickey Red isn’t really the official Mickey Red, but it’s our version. Official Mickey Red is CMYK: 0/100/100/0.

Color Uses

  • Horizons Orange is considered the “Primary” brand color of the site and is heavily re-used throughout the site.
  • Eisner’s Heart is used for the body of the text – lest we forget…
  • Happy Little Trees Green, Cinderella Blue, Sunshine Tree Terrace Yellow and Mickey Red are all typically used for user feedback messages and aren’t typically seen. However they are designed to be coordinated to the main color scheme.

Fonts

The font used on the site is “Ubuntu” – available via Google Fonts.

Featured Images for Posts

  • Minimum of 700px x 700px
  • jpg preferred, png (depending upon subject)
  • Make sure to fill out the following sections when uploading pictures so we can find it during a search:
    • Title – Keep it short and informative.
    • Alternative Text – used by search engines, add to SEO and can bring in guests performing an image search.
    • Description – Mostly internal usage, but gallery may display it.
  • We’ve also added the ability to enter the image’s source and source URL to give photographer’s proper credit. Please use whenever you can to keep us from becoming “Disney Avenue”…
