Jungle Cruise Frogs Take 3 – 1972 Home Movie

We visit the Magic Kingdom again in its infancy, just a few weeks-old baby, starting in Adventureland with shots of the Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse.  Chip ‘n Dale meet our young protagonists in Adventureland Plaza outside the Enchanted Tiki Room. They seem to be the only two people (and two Chipmunks) in the park.

We walk through the Treehouse (note the glimpse at 2:15 of a piece of construction equipment!) before we board the Jungle Cruise and see….our clearest footage yet of the infamous short-lived frogs at 2:51!

After along ride on the Jungle Cruise we visit the Teacups in Fantasyland; note the disco ball under Timothy Mouse. I can’t imagine how blinding and hot that was in Florida’s summer sun before they eventually covered the ride.   A shot of plaid-clad tour guides gliding across Town Square takes us to some closing images of the entrance plaza and the monorails passing overhead.

Note the sandwich board advertising the World Cruise on Bay Lake and Seven Seas Lagoon at 5:50 just before the film ends.

    Brings back great memories.
My family lived 20 minutes from Disneyland when I was born and growing up in the 60’s.
Even though we moved a few hundred miles away when I was 6 yrs old we continued to take our yearly trips to DL.
My father also has a grip of film footage of DL from our visits, (which have been transferred to CD disc).
It was fun watching this and tripping down memory lane!
This footage reminded me of our home movies @DL !!
We were there during the time period of this video !!
DL was a huge part of my family’s life in the 60’s, 70’s 80’s on thru to 2016 on our last DL trip.
Sadly, Disney is NOT the great company they once were.
    Corporate, Capitalist GREED
has taken DL over, along with Disneys pisspoor treatment of others and the ridiculous gouging they have now morphed towards 🤑
Walt Disney would be so ashamed of the insatiable hangry beast his legacy has become!
Walt had a vision for an AFFORDABLE family fun park
As you can clearly see-that hasn’t been the case for decades now !
Such a pity the wrong ppl inherited DL !!
They will never get another dime out of my family for ANYTHING!!
